How To Force Indoor Hyacinths in Time for Christmas Blooms
Now is the perfect time to start forcing your prepared hyacinth bulbs. See our simple ‘How to guide’ below.

Choose Your Bulbs
Select your prepared hyacinth bulbs. Our loose varieties have been pre-chilled and are ready for forcing.
Gather Your Materials
You will need:
Planting in Pots
Create a Cool Environment
Place the pot in a cool, dark area (around 9°C or 48°F) for around 10-12 weeks. Check weekly to keep the soil moist but not soggy.
Move to Light
Once sprouts are about 2.5 cm tall, move the pots to a bright room with indirect sunlight. Continue watering regularly to keep the soil moist.
Enjoy the Blooms
After about 2-3 weeks in light, your hyacinths should bloom beautifully!
Post-Bloom Care
After flowering, remove spent blooms but allow foliage to die back naturally before disposing of or planting outside for future blooms.
